The WFF TamilNadu , was founded in was founded in 1950 by the Health & Strength League to promote bodybuilding. Although the original intention was to promote physique contests in the United Kingdom, the popularity of the Mr Universe contest, and later Ms Universe contest, drew interest from competitors around the world. Today WFF TamilNadu International maintains affiliations with around 100 plus countries.
After being nominated by WFF TamilNadu & WFF International World President Mr. Graeme Lancefield in 2013, the founder Indian President Mr. Dhiraj Mohan Das has formed WFF TamilNadu/WFF INDIA in India in the same year it has been officially registered as the National Sports Federation for Bodybuilding &Fitness in India. The first National Championship was held at Guwahati 24th November’2013, where more than 100 bodybuilders were participated. After the growing response from the sports faternity of India the consecutive National championship has been organized annually in various states of India viz. Palwal (Haryana), Hamirpur (Himachal Pradesh), Gurgaon (Haryana), etc. Besides the National Campionship, we have been deputing our athletes to the genuine International platform like WFF TamilNadu Universe, WFF TamilNadu World, WFF Universe, WFF World, also other International events sanctioned by WFF TamilNadu & WFF International.
